We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS) to join our Buymie team and help us build high-quality, innovative mobile applications.


Job Responsibilities
  • Write clean, concise, and maintainable code that is stable and extensible,
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application, debug and resolve production issues as needed,
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with other engineers on the team in addition to our product managers and creative team,
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency,
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, performance issues, and bugs,
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, functional iOS applications,
  • Keep up to date with the latest industry trends in mobile technologies and utilize modern iOS development practices,
  • Implement Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines with a strong focus on UI and user experience,
  • Estimate task complexity and self-manage execution of medium to large features and bug fixes, ensuring committed work is delivered on time,
  • Work closely with engineering teams to design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality mobile features,
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of the team’s development practices.

Your profile

Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience,
  • More than 5 years of iOS development experience,
  • Solid background in software development principles, architecture, and design patterns,
  • Proficiency in Swift and solid understanding of Objective-C,
  • In-depth knowledge of iOS SDK, UIKit, SwiftUI, and different versions of iOS,
  • Solid understanding of the mobile development lifecycle, including UI/UX principles and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines,
  • Experience with third-party libraries, frameworks, and APIs (e.g., Firebase, networking libraries, analytics, and payment SDKs),
  • Good knowledge of iOS Clean Architecture and MVVM,
  • Experience with modern Swift features, memory management, concurrency, and asynchronous programming,
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, networking, and integrating backend services,
  • Familiarity with dependency injection, unit testing, and UI testing,
  • Experience with Git and standard software development workflows,
  • A demonstrable portfolio of iOS and iOS-related apps is a plus,
  • Good English language skills, both written and spoken,
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
